This book is as concise, astute and well thought out as any book I have read about how our lawmakers are doing their day to day duties and offers the best idea ever on how we can best implement a positive change in the electoral process and it can't come quickly enough as we are truly foundering if some drastic measures aren't taken immediately
I had a similar idea myself, however, my idea was initially the same but my details are a little less thought out and the research and attention to details in this book are as close to perfect as any government initiative can get.
A great read and a good history lesson from the past to the future.

Los autores presentan un modelo de Cámara Baja Representativa elegida por sorteo de entre los ciudadanos y una Cámara Alta elegida por votación como propuesta para hacer de la Cámara Baja una cámara verdaderamente representativa de la población. Básicamente se trata de trasladar el modelo del jurado popular a la cámara legislativa, recordando el ejemplo histórico de la democracia ateniense en la cual la mitad de la asamblea era elegida por sorteo y la mitad por votación, cabe comentar que este sistema duró en Atenas 200 años para desaparecer convirtiéndose en un gobierno burocrático. Es interesante que al final de libro se incluyen los comentarios a favor o en contra y críticos de varias personalidades a las que ofrecieron leer el proyecto.
